Empatia

Empathy (in art) is the way of making art that tries to involve the spectator emotionally, without mediate a distance between the spectator and the work of art, as it was for example in the raphaelesque tradition of renaissance.

 

The table lamp's design load the formal expression with an empathetic purpose; deformations, fluid continuous lines, almost floral, organic, extremely soft eye-catching shapes gives a sense of vitality while the dialogue between the two different materials, the abstract steel chrome and the natural wood gives a sense of warmth and intimacy. The feel of warmth is one of the fundamental characteristics of organicism, a psychologistic component that belongs to it.
